Steelers don’t expect T.J. Watt’s calf injury to affect Sunday availability

Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt popped up on the team’s injury report on Thursday.

Watt was listed as a limited participant in practice due to a calf injury. He was not on the report at all on Wednesday, but head coach Mike McCarthy said from Paris on Friday that he does not expect the issue to impact Watt’s availability against the Saints on Sunday.

“I would say no,” McCarthy said, via multiple reporters.

McCarthy added that the team’s final practice on Saturday will provide a final answer to that question.

Watt has 15 tackles, 4.5 sacks, an interception return for a touchdown, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on the season.
