Anstey raced into a two-goal lead just past the half-hour mark thanks to goals from Oscar Tonge and Darien Wauchope at Lye Meadow.

However, Jamey Osborne’s free-kick in first-half injury time halved the deficit before Miracle Okafor drew the home side level late on.

The result means Alvechurch sit seventh in the Southern League Premier Central table following a third successive draw in the league.

Anstey broke the deadlock after just 12 minutes when Tonge fired a shot into the roof of the net.

And the visitors doubled their advantage on 34 minutes as Wauchope flicked the ball on at a corner and the ball found the net.

However, Osborne’s free-kick from the edge of the penalty area halved the deficit on the stroke of half time just moments after Anstey hit the post.

And the home side levelled the game on 76 minutes when in-form striker Okafor finished to rescue a point for Kyle Storer’s side.

Alvechurch are next in action against Leiston on Saturday, October 31 with kick-off at 3pm at Victory Road.
