PSG lost three starting players in one game this week, and they’re now figuring out their options for the weeks to come.

PSG beat Barcelona on Tuesday night in a thrilling game at the Parc des Princes, but they paid the price.

As well as a season-ending injury to a key attacker, they also lost central defender Marquinhos and winger Ousmane Dembele during the game,

According to Fabrizio Romano, Dembele has an injury to his “right thigh”  (it looked like a hamstring tweak) and Marquinhos has something similar.

They are both set to be “in care” for the next few weeks. Neither looks like it will need surgery or anything more serious than some rest. That’s the good news.

PSG suffer injury disaster despite careful rotation

It’s frustrating for PSG because of how careful they have been rotating their stars. Marquinhos was given the game off at the weekend against Strasbourg, while Dembele missed the previous week’s game against Le Mans.

Despite that careful rotation, the intensity of PSG’s play in these top end Champions League games is immensely taxing, and both players have paid the price.

Still, with wins against PSG and Barca secured, Luis Enrique can now start to rotate more in the Champions League as well as Ligue 1, and can survive without these important players.

In other news…

They weren’t the only players lost during the game – the news that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has ruptured his ACL is devastating for PSG.

Internal tension has apparently been building at PSG over the treatment of January signing Dro, who it’s felt is getting special treatment.
