As previously reported, a promotional poster outside one of the gates at WWE Crown Jewel's original venue, the Riyadh Season Stadium in KAFD, advertised a match between GUNTHER and Finn Bálor for the event scheduled on November 7. Although WWE has been building towards this matchup for the past few months, it has not yet been officially confirmed for Crown Jewel.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, GUNTHER vs. Finn Bálor was part of the original lineup for the Crown Jewel premium live event. If this match does not take place, it is likely due to a last-minute change in plans.

GUNTHER and Bálor have been in conflict since SummerSlam 2026, and they had a confrontation on last night's WWE SmackDown, where Bálor, appearing as The Demon, stood tall over GUNTHER during their segment.

While they have participated in a few multi-man matches over the past few months, they have not yet faced off in a singles match on television. However, they did compete one-on-one at the Road to Survivor Series: WarGames live event in Youngstown, Ohio, which could hint at what’s in store for November 7.
