Official: Starting XIs for Bournemouth vs. AC Milan – six changes from Atalanta win

AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for the game against Bournemouth, and there are further changes from the weekend.

The 4-0 win over RB Salzburg one week ago got Milan’s 2026-27 European campaign off and running, after their defeat to Benfica at San Siro in round one. They followed that up with a 3-2 victory over Atalanta at San Siro on Sunday, though they nearly threw a three-goal lead away.

So, there is some optimistic momentum going into this game. However, Bournemouth have a bit more confidence too, having followed up a 3-0 win over Sturm Graz with their first Premier League triumph, against Sunderland.

Reports had suggested that Amorim was planning to rotate again after he made seven changes in Austria and then seven at the weekend too. Samuel Chukwueze and Goncalo Ramos both suffered injuries on the eve of the game, which didn’t help things either.

Mike Maignan remains between the posts and wearing the armband. Fikayo Tomori, Koni De Winter, Strahinja Pavlovic and Pervis Estupinan are the four defenders that have been chosen, with Mario Gila rested.

A midfield duo of Ardon Jashari and Yunus Musah will operate behind Omari Hutchinson, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Diego Moreira. Alphadjo Cisse – who celebrates his 20th birthday today – leads the line, after scoring a hat-trick vs. Salzburg.

The likes of Gila, Davide Bartesaghi, Luka Modric, Adrien Rabiot, Christian Pulisic and Francesco Camarda are all able to lend a hand off the bench, but the four injuries make the depth a lot thinner.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic, Estupinan; Musah, Jashari; Hutchinson, Loftus-Cheek, Moreira; Cisse.

Bench: Bouyer, Torriani, Gila, Diawara, Vladimirov, Bartesaghi, Modric, Rabiot, Comotto, Pulisic, Camarda.

Official Bournemouth XI (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Hill, Diakité, Silva, Truffert; Christie, Adams; Tavernier, Kluivert, Gannon-Doak; Evanilson.

Bench: Petrovic, Allan, Cook, Julio Soler, Brooks, Smith, Adli, Toth, Rodriguez, Rayan.
