Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Jarrod Bowen ‘seems OK’ to play as West Ham United prepare to host West Brom tomorrow.

Hammers News reported in the week that Bowen was a doubt after picking up an ankle issue in the aftermath of last Saturday’s 3-2 home defeat by Southampton.

Tomas Soucek of West Ham United celebrates with teammates after scoring the team's fifth goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Lincoln City and West Ham United at the Gelder Group Sincil Bank Stadium in Lincoln, on October 14, 2026.

West Ham United have already lost Konstantinos Mavropanos for at least a couple of weeks. Mavropanos is sidelined with a knee problem, albeit things are not as bad as they initially seemed. Joel Veltman appears likely to miss the visit of West Brom too.

But Jarrod Bowen is available. Or at least he appears to be.

West Ham United breathe a sigh of relief over Jarrod Bowen

“We have some doubts, some players who are still in contention who need evaluating. There is a situation with Dinos, Joel and Keiber [Lamadrid],” Nuno said during his press conference. “It’s Dinos’ knee. We were concerned about the injury, but thankfully it’s not as serious as we thought. Let’s see. Dinos is a very important player for us.

“Jarrod twisted his ankle in training, but he’s been with us today and he seems OK.”

Bowen has started every one of West Ham’s 12 Championship games so far. The skipper has six goals and five assists to his name.
