Cristiano Ronaldo has once again been named the world’s highest-paid footballer after topping Forbes’ 2026 Highest-Paid Soccer Players rankings with estimated annual earnings of $300 million.

The Portuguese superstar, who plays for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, comfortably leads the list thanks to his lucrative playing contract and substantial commercial income from sponsorships, endorsements and business ventures.

Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi occupies second place with estimated earnings of $145 million, maintaining his position among the sport’s biggest financial earners. Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé completes the top three after generating $100 million over the past year.

Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland ranks fourth with $85 million, while Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior rounds out the top five on $76 million.

Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal is one of the biggest climbers in this year’s rankings. The teenage star sits sixth with estimated earnings of $55 million, highlighting his rapid rise both on the pitch and in the commercial world following a series of endorsement deals.

Al-Nassr winger Sadio Mané is the highest-ranked African footballer on the list, occupying seventh place with $54 million in annual earnings. The Senegal international continues to benefit from his lucrative Saudi Arabian contract alongside several commercial partnerships.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is eighth with $45 million, ahead of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane on $44 million, while Egyptian star Mohamed Salah completes the top 10 with earnings of $40 million.
