Corinthians faces Mirassol with Kaio César in squad

Corinthians meets Mirassol at the Neo Química Arena at 8:00 PM Brasília time on Friday, October 30, for the 33rd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The match brings together two clubs fighting to escape the relegation zone in Brazil’s top flight. Corinthians enters the fixture mired in an 10-game winless run in Série A that dropped the club into 18th place with 33 points. Mirassol visits the stadium holding the 16th position with 37 points, four ahead of its opponent.

Clarence Seedorf promotes Kaio César to the starting lineup

Corinthians head coach Clarence Seedorf made a single change to the starting team that played Vasco da Gama in the previous round. Forward Kaio César enters the XI in place of Dieguinho. The hosts line up with Hugo Souza in goal behind a defensive line of Matheuzinho, André Ramalho, Gustavo Henrique, and Fabrizio Angileri. André Luiz, Breno Bidon, and Rodrigo Garro form the midfield trio, while Matheus Bidu, Kaio César, and Yuri Alberto compose the attack.

The home substitutes bench features 12 options: Kauê, João Pedro, Vitinho, Pedro Raul, André Carrillo, Pedro Milans, Matheus Pereira, Allan, Charles, Iago Machado, Gui Negão, and Dieguinho. Mirassol manager Rafael Guanaes selected Walter for goal, supported by Igor Formiga, João Victor, William Machado, and Reinaldo in defense. Neto Moura, Wallisson, and Eduardo start in midfield, with Alesson, Edson, and Bruno Santos leading the attack.

CBF files criminal representation against Gaviões da Fiel leader

The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol announced it filed a criminal representation and request for action with the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo against Alexandre Domenico, president of the Corinthians organized supporter group Gaviões da Fiel. The governing body cited public statements posted on social media by Domenico directed at Brazilian referees. The federation stated that while criticism of officiating remains legitimate within sport, public warnings and references to the private lodging locations of referees cross the line from free expression into intimidation and threats.

The governing body requested that prosecutors open a criminal investigative procedure or police inquiry to examine potential violations under penal legislation and the General Sports Law. The filing also asks authorities to implement urgent security measures to protect referee crews during upcoming Corinthians fixtures, covering stadiums, hotels, and transit routes. Additionally, the federation seeks the preservation of data tied to the social media post, interviews with group directors, an investigation into how confidential hotel information was obtained, and civil measures against the organization and its leaders.
