English-Ghanaian defender Ivan Agyaakwah opened the scoring as Greenville Triumph SC claimed a thrilling 4-3 USL League One win over Spokane Velocity FC.

Agyaakwah struck in the fourth minute to give Greenville the perfect start. Nick Spielman’s own goal doubled the lead in the 10th minute, before Ali Elmasnaouy pulled one back for Spokane in the 31st minute.

Anthony Patti restored Greenville’s two-goal advantage after the break, but Spokane fought back through Luis Gil’s 72nd-minute penalty and Devin Boyce’s strike four minutes later.

Elmasnaouy then scored his second of the night in the 87th minute to settle a dramatic contest and hand Greenville all three points. Agyaakwah was replaced by Ezra White in the 86th minute after a solid defensive display.

The win moved Greenville Triumph to 27 points, while Spokane remained sixth in the standings. Greenville Triumph SC will play Independence in the USL League One on October 17th.
