German-Ghanaian forward Ragnar Ache returns to action after a month injury layoff

The 28-year-old striker of Ghanaian descent has recuperated fully from his injury setback after spending several days on the sidelines over his rehabilitation

German-Ghanaian centre-forward Ragnar Ache has returned from his thigh muscle injury and could play a part when FC Köln welcome Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

The ex-Eintracht Frankfurt frontman picked up the health anomaly during his side's 2-2 draw against city rivals Viktoria Köln in the international-break friendly match on October 3.

Prior to his injury setback, the former Sparta Rotterdam attacking forward featured in 5 games across all competitions in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal in this current 2026/27 football season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, he still qualifies to switch international allegiances from Germany to Ghana by representing the Black Stars at the international level despite featuring for the Germany U21 national youth team so far in his international football career.
