Sudan in advanced talks to extend Kwesi Appiah’s contract until 2029

Ghanaian coach James Kwesi Appiah is reportedly close to securing a contract extension with Sudan as the country’s football authorities look to continue their working relationship with him.

The Sudan Football Association (SFA) is said to be in advanced discussions over a new deal that would keep the experienced coach in charge of the national team until 2029.

Appiah’s current contract runs until June 2028, but the reported move to extend his stay reflects the federation’s desire to maintain continuity following his work with the team.

The Ghanaian tactician has earned recognition for his contribution to Sudan’s national team, with the country’s football authorities keen to build on the progress made under his leadership.

Although negotiations are reportedly at an advanced stage, no official announcement has been made regarding the proposed extension.
