FC Ashantigold midfielder Samuel Fosu Boateng has backed the team to return to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League when they face Swedru All Blacks in their next match.
The youngster starred for the Miners on Sunday, picking the Man of the Match award after their 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko.
In his post-match interview, Fosu Boateng expressed disappointment with the result, insisting FC Ashantigold did enough to deserve the three points.
“I’m a little bit sad because we could have won this game so badly. We needed the win,” Samuel Fosu Boateng said.
With FC Ashantigold set to face Swedru All Blacks in the next round of league matches, the midfielder believes the Miners will secure victory.
“We are playing so well. We are a young team with good coaches, and so we are confident they will help us going into our upcoming matches,” Samuel Fosu Boateng added.
The Week nine Ghana Premier League fixture between Swedru All Blacks and FC Ashantigold will be played on Sunday, November 1.
