The Liverpool FC Women midfielder is set for her second appearance in L4 this weekend, with Arsenal visiting on Sunday.
Ramos’ first game at the stadium ended successfully as the Reds beat Everton 2-0 in the Merseyside derby back in September – and she is relishing the prospect of once again stepping out at the club’s iconic home.
The Spain international told Liverpoolfc.com: “I’m so excited to play against Arsenal for many reasons, but I think that the first reason is that to play at Anfield is so special for me, with all of the fans and their support.
“Also, all of my family is going to be here with me, but it will be a special weekend and we have the goal to achieve the win.”
Ramos, a summer signing from CD Tenerife, has quickly established herself in Liverpool’s team and as a firm fan favourite, too.
Indeed, supporters have already created a chant in her honour and the 27-year-old said the feeling of love is very much mutual.
She added: “I feel so, so happy to be here. It’s my first experience so far away from my home, but I feel here like home, with all of the fans and their support.
“I feel like here, people in the city will help if I need something and people here are so lovely [and] very friendly.
“I think that when you are tired, when you don’t win or you lose, you always listen to the voice of all the fans and it is so special.
“I’m so grateful because I am so conscious that I only arrived here a short time ago but all the fans love me. They created a song for me and that is so, so special... I try to achieve this love from the fans on the pitch and I think it is important to be grateful.
“I say thanks to all of the fans, to all of the people that love me, that take care of me and always support by saying, ‘ Vamos, Ramos!’”
