MidCity Football Academy Agency Tournament to attract European scouts to Ghana

The MidCity Football Academy Agency Tournament is set to provide a platform for Ghana’s emerging football talents to showcase their abilities before international scouts, including representatives from RSC Anderlecht of Belgium, FC Midtjylland of Denmark, and CD Mafra of Portugal.

The tournament will take place across two major football centres in Ghana, beginning in Accra on Monday, October 19, and running through Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Matches will be played at the Alajo Astro Turf, with activities scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM each day.

The competition will then move to Kumasi from Wednesday, October 21, to Thursday, October 22, 2026, with Wesley College School Park serving as the venue.

The two-city format is expected to offer young players from different backgrounds an opportunity to demonstrate their technical abilities, tactical awareness, and overall potential.

The presence of scouts from the three European clubs adds an international dimension to the tournament, creating an opportunity for promising footballers to attract attention beyond Ghana’s domestic football scene.

Strong performances could help place participants on the radar of international clubs and open doors to further assessments and potential professional opportunities.

Beyond the competition itself, the MidCity Football Academy Agency Tournament represents an important opportunity to support youth development and connect Ghanaian talent with the international football market.

For the young players involved, the event could be a significant step towards achieving their ambitions of building professional careers in football.
