Barcelona have offered an update on Jules Kounde after the defender was forced off injured in the first half of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Inter.

The Catalans have confirmed in a statement it’s a hamstring injury and that he is out for the foreseeable future.

“Tests carried out this morning have shown that first team player Jules Kounde has a distal injury to the biceps femoris of his left thigh. His return to the team will be decided based on his progress.”

It’s already been reported that Kounde will miss the return against Inter next week and the Clasico with Real Madrid in La Liga.

Barcelona will certainly be hoping that Kounde isn’t out for too long as he is a key part of Hansi Flick’s team and has played virtually every game this season.
