Ampem Darkoa Ladies drawn in Group B for CAF Women’s Champions League Egypt 2026

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have been placed in Group B for the CAF Women’s Champions League Egypt 2026, despite their qualification for the tournament remaining subject to the outcome of a rescheduled WAFU B final.

The Ghanaian club were given another chance to reach the competition after successfully protesting against Edo Queens. The decision by the CAF Appeal Board overturned Edo Queens’ 4-1 victory on penalties in the original WAFU B qualifying final.

The match will now resume from the beginning of extra time with the score level at 2-2. Ampem Darkoa Ladies will represent the WAFU B Zone if they win the rearranged extra-time period.

If they secure qualification, Ampem Darkoa Ladies will join Moroccan side AS FAR, Mali’s USFAS Bamako and Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies in Group B.

The final draw for the CAF Women’s Champions League Egypt 2026 was held in Cairo, Egypt. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Egypt from 1 November to 15 November 2026.

The Appeal Board’s ruling followed Ampem Darkoa’s challenge to the result against Edo Queens, which had originally been decided by a penalty shootout after the match finished 2-2.

That result was annulled, leaving the WAFU B qualifying final to be completed from extra time rather than replayed in full. Ampem Darkoa must therefore win the outstanding period to claim the regional qualification place.

The Group B draw has established the teams they would face at the tournament, but the Ghanaian club’s participation will depend on the outcome of the rescheduled tie.
