The continuation of the WAFU Zone B qualifying final between Edo Queens FC and Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC will be played in Egypt on 28 or 29 October 2026, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed.
The teams will resume the match from the beginning of extra time, with the score level at 2-2. Two 15-minute periods will be played, and a penalty shoot-out will decide the winner if the scores remain equal after extra time.
CAF has not yet announced the precise date, stadium or kick-off time. The governing body said those details would be communicated to both clubs shortly.
The decision follows a series of rulings concerning the WAFU Zone B qualifying final, which was originally played on 5 September 2026. CAF referred to the decision made by its Organising Committee for Women’s Football on 26 September 2026, as well as a subsequent ruling from the CAF Appeal Board dated 16 October 2026.
Officials who were not involved in the original match will be appointed for the continuation, CAF also confirmed.
Edo Queens’ original 4-1 victory in the penalty shoot-out was annulled after Ampem Darkoa successfully protested against the outcome. The two clubs must now complete the tie from the point at which extra time was due to begin.
The winner of the match in Egypt will represent WAFU B at the CAF Women’s Champions League Egypt 2026.
The confirmation was issued by GFA Communications in a letter addressed to both clubs.
