Ghana midfielder Rahim Ibrahim scores brace as Slovan Bratislava thrash Spartak Trnava

Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim scored twice as Slovan Bratislava secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Spartak Trnava in the Slovak top flight on Saturday at the City Arena Trnava.

The 22-year-old delivered an impressive performance to help the visitors claim all three points in the highly anticipated encounter, continuing his promising start to the campaign.

Ibrahim opened the scoring in the 19th minute, finishing off a pass from Gambia international winger Suleiman Camara to give Slovan Bratislava an early advantage.

The visitors maintained their attacking momentum and doubled their lead in the 34th minute through forward Adam Griger, who converted after being set up by Armenian midfielder Tigran Barseghyan.

Slovan Bratislava went into the break with a comfortable two-goal cushion and continued to manage the contest effectively in the second half.

Ibrahim then completed his brace ten minutes from full-time, putting the finishing touch on a move created by Bosnian midfielder Alen Mustafic to seal a comprehensive win for the reigning Slovakian powerhouse.

The Ghanaian's double took his tally to four goals in seven appearances across all competitions for Slovan Bratislava this season, underlining his growing influence in the team.

His latest contribution will be encouraging for the midfielder as he continues to establish himself at the club and make an impact in European football.

The emphatic victory also provides Slovan Bratislava with a significant boost as they pursue their domestic ambitions, with Ibrahim emerging as one of the standout performers in their latest outing.

With four goals already to his name, the Ghanaian midfielder will be eager to maintain his scoring form and build on his impressive contribution in the coming matches.
