The Ghana Police Service has expressed confidence in its readiness for the upcoming SESSA Games, with Director of Sports, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bernice Rashidatu Abdulai Timbilla, declaring the Service’s ambition to dominate the competition.

ASP Timbilla said the Police Service would be aiming to sweep all available medals at the tournament, insisting that its reputation in the competition remains unchanged.

“When we say SESSA Games, it’s Ghana Police and the rest. Nothing has changed, and we will do our best to sweep all the medals at the upcoming tournament,” she told Asempa FM on the Ladies’ Time Show.

She made the remarks on Saturday, October 31, during an inter-depot marathon organised by the Ghana Police Service for its eight training depots.

The event, held at the National Police Training School, Tesano, brought together personnel from the various training depots to compete in the marathon as part of efforts to promote physical fitness, discipline and sporting excellence within the Service.

At the end of the competition, the High-Risk Operations Training Centre (Huhunya) emerged as the overall best depot in both the male and female categories.

The marathon provided an opportunity for personnel to showcase their endurance and athletic abilities while reinforcing the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to sports development and physical fitness.
