MATCH REPORT: Ghana U-15 boys thrash Uzbekistan in FIFA World Cup opener

Ghana’s national U-15 boys team began their campaign at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in impressive fashion, defeating Uzbekistan 4-1 in their opening Group W match on Saturday in Azerbaijan.

Abdul Aziz Issah and Jerry Owusu led the charge for the Ghanaian side, with both players scoring twice to secure a convincing victory.

The two attackers proved decisive as Ghana found the net four times to claim maximum points and make a strong statement in their first outing of the tournament.

The result gives the team a positive start as they look to progress through the group phase and continue their development on the international stage.

Ghana will return to action on Sunday for two fixtures against Myanmar and Guam as the tournament’s busy schedule continues.

The team will then face Bahamas and Kazakhstan on Monday to complete their group-stage matches, with the players hoping to maintain their winning momentum.
