Harry Kane has pledged to buy special presents for his teammates at Bayern Munich and with England following his historic success at the Ballon d’Or awards.
According to a report by GOAL on Thursday, October 29, 2026, the 33-year-old forward secured his first Ballon d’Or on Monday evening in London, finishing ahead of French superstar Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal to claim one of football’s most prestigious individual honours.
Kane’s victory followed an outstanding year in front of goal. He reportedly scored 61 times in 51 appearances for Bayern Munich during the 2026 campaign, while adding another 12 goals for England. His combined tally of 73 goals for club and country underlined his remarkable contribution at both levels and strengthened his case for the award.
Following the achievement, the England captain revealed that he wanted to recognise the teammates who had helped him enjoy such a successful period. Speaking to German newspaper BILD, Kane explained that some players had already begun suggesting the kind of presents they would like to receive.
According to the striker, requests had included luxury watches and other expensive items. He said he would consider the suggestions and find suitable gifts for his colleagues at both Bayern Munich and the England national team.
Kane added that he intended to make sure everyone received something special, although he has not yet disclosed exactly what he plans to buy. His comments have generated curiosity about the presents he may eventually distribute following his individual triumph.
The forward attended the Ballon d’Or ceremony wearing a rare Rolex Daytona reportedly worth close to £1 million. The luxury timepiece attracted attention at the event, but Kane has not confirmed whether watches will feature among the gifts he intends to purchase for his teammates.
Beyond his Ballon d’Or success, Kane has also become the subject of discussion over the possibility of receiving a knighthood for his contribution to English football. The suggestion was put to him during his interview with BILD, prompting him to explain how he would feel about receiving such recognition.
Kane said he would welcome the honour and regard it as a tremendous privilege. However, he stressed that he did not want to become overly excited about a possibility that has not been confirmed. He described the prospect as something that would make him extremely proud if it eventually happened.
The England captain also admitted that being called Sir Harry Kane would initially feel unusual. Nevertheless, he acknowledged that the title had an appealing sound, while maintaining a cautious attitude towards the speculation.
Kane is expected to return to Wembley Stadium on November 12 when England take on Croatia in the UEFA Nations League. The fixture could provide another historic moment for the striker if he makes an appearance.
Reports indicate that Kane could surpass Peter Shilton’s reported record of 125 England appearances, potentially becoming the most-capped player in the national team’s history. Achieving that milestone would add another significant accomplishment to an already memorable period in his career.
With the Ballon d’Or now secured, Kane will aim to maintain his prolific scoring form for Bayern Munich while continuing to contribute to England’s ambitions on the international stage.
