ACP Alexander Kwaku Obeng has clarified that TraffiTech enforcement covers all motor vehicles, not just four-wheeled vehicles, and that Okada riders are also included in the implementation.
According to ACP Obeng, the TraffiTech system applies to every category of motor vehicle, and there should be no misconception that it targets only cars and other four-wheeled vehicles. He made clear that motorcycles and tricycles used for commercial transport, commonly known as Okada, fall within the scope of the enforcement.
ACP Obeng explained that the clarification has become necessary because some Okada riders may be under the impression that the system does not apply to them. He stressed that the enforcement is comprehensive and that all motor vehicles, regardless of their type, are subject to TraffiTech.
He urged Okada riders to comply with traffic regulations and to recognise that they are covered by the enforcement measures. According to him, the system is designed to promote road safety and discipline across all categories of road users.
ACP Obeng further noted that the inclusion of Okada in TraffiTech enforcement is intended to ensure that all motorists are held to the same standards. He advised riders to ensure their vehicles are properly registered and that they observe all traffic rules.
He called on the public to support the enforcement efforts and to understand that TraffiTech is not limited to four-wheeled vehicles. ACP Alexander Kwaku Obeng clarified that TraffiTech enforcement covers all motor vehicles, not just four-wheeled vehicles, and that Okada riders are also included in the implementation.
