Chelsea Women strengthened their position with a 2-0 victory over AS Roma Women. Ellie Carpenter and Kadeisha Buchanan scored to secure all three points for the English side.
The victory took Chelsea to seven points from three matches, with two wins and one draw. They currently sit third in the standings, having scored three goals without conceding.
Meanwhile, Arsenal Women secured an impressive 3-0 win over Benfica Women, with Alessia Russo delivering a brilliant performance by scoring all three goals.
The victory moved Arsenal into second place with seven points from three matches. The Gunners have scored six goals and conceded twice, giving them a goal difference of plus four.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid Women surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Bayern Munich Women. Athenea and Lineth Beerensteyn scored for the Spanish side before Edna Imade and Momoko Tanikawa helped Bayern fight back to earn a point.
The draw means Real Madrid have recorded three consecutive draws in their opening matches, leaving them tenth with three points. Bayern Munich occupy fifth position with five points.
Olympique Lyon Women delivered one of the most impressive performances of the round, defeating Inter Milan Women 6-0. The result took Lyon to the top of the standings with seven points and a goal difference of plus 14.
Servette Women also enjoyed a convincing victory, beating OH Leuven Women 5-1 in the other Wednesday fixture.
However, the standings remain provisional, as several teams, including Barcelona, Manchester City and Juventus, have played only two matches, while Chelsea, Arsenal and Lyon have completed three games.
Under the competition's format, the top four teams at the end of the league phase will qualify directly for the quarter finals. Teams finishing between fifth and 12th will enter the knockout phase play-offs, while the bottom six sides will be eliminated.
Chelsea and Arsenal will aim to maintain their strong form as the competition continues, while Real Madrid will be eager to record their first victory after a difficult start.
With more fixtures scheduled for Thursday, October 29, the standings could change further before the conclusion of the third round of matches.
