Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his team will develop a tactical strategy to overcome Aduana FC when the two sides clash in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
The defending champions will host the Dormaa-based side at the TNA Park in Tarkwa in a Matchday Eight encounter, with Tanko eager to guide his players back to winning ways after suffering their first defeat of the 2026/27 campaign.
Medeama’s impressive unbeaten start came to an end last weekend when they lost 2-1 to FC Samartex at DUN’s Park. The setback will serve as motivation for the Tarkwa-based club as they prepare for a challenging fixture against another title contender.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Tanko expressed confidence in his squad’s quality but acknowledged that his players would need a well-planned approach to secure all three points.
“I think we also have good players like them, so definitely, we are going to map out our strategy, with the hope that we’ll get our three points here,” he said.
Medeama head into the game sitting third on the league table with 14 points from seven matches. Their attacking performance has been one of the highlights of their campaign, with the defending champions scoring 13 goals, the highest tally in the division at the time of the reports.
Aduana FC, meanwhile, occupy fourth position with 13 points, just one behind their hosts. They travel to Tarkwa after recording a 1-0 victory over AshantiGold, a result that has boosted their confidence ahead of the important fixture.
The narrow gap between the two clubs adds further significance to Sunday’s encounter, as both sides seek to strengthen their positions among the early contenders for the league title.
Tanko will be hoping his players can combine their attacking strength with tactical discipline and make full use of home advantage.
Medeama will also be counting on support from their fans at the TNA Park as they attempt to respond positively to last weekend’s defeat.
Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. GMT on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
