Harry Kane has committed his future to Bayern Munich until 30 June 2029, with the German club confirming a new contract for the England captain on Thursday, November 5.
The agreement keeps one of Europe’s most productive strikers in Munich beyond the end of his previous contract, which was due to expire in 2027. Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 and has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances.
His new deal follows a remarkable period in Germany. Kane has won two Bundesliga titles, the DFB Cup and two German Super Cups. He has also finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of his first three seasons at the club.
The extension comes shortly after Kane was named the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner, adding another major individual achievement to his career.
The decision also gives head coach Vincent Kompany and Bayern’s sporting department greater certainty as they plan for the coming seasons. Bayern sporting board member Max Eberl described the extension as important for the club’s future planning.
Kane has made clear that he feels at home in Munich and wants to continue competing for major trophies with the German champions.
Bayern have not disclosed the financial terms of the agreement, so reported salary figures should be treated cautiously. What is confirmed is that Kane will remain at the club until June 2029.
For Bayern, retaining their leading striker is a major statement of ambition, particularly as they continue pursuing another Champions League triumph.
