Amid an already challenging start to the season, yet another injury concern has hit Borussia Mönchengladbach.

This morning, Friday 16 October, Sky Germany understands that Jan Leszczyński has injured his knee during a training session.

According to the pay-TV channel, the extent of just how serious the central defender's injury is remains unclear for the time being.

Further examinations by the Rhineland club's medical personnel should provide clarity before Gladbach host TSG Hoffenheim on Sunday.

For now, however, it seems likely that the 19-year-old will sit out for the time being, placing further strain on Alexander Blessin's squad.

Leszczyński has already featured three times for the Foals this season, including 80 minutes against Mainz and the whole game in Köln.
