Oisin Murphy accused American-based jockey Paco Lopez of 'really poor riding' in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at Keeneland.

The incident occurred during the Group One contest on Friday evening, won by the Billy Loughnane-ridden Libertango.

Murphy was riding the the Andrew Balding-trained Moonrise, while Lopez was on Harper's Corner for trainer Cathal Lynch.

Speaking to Sky Sports Racing, Murphy said: "Paco Lopez moved to the rail when he wasn't clear. It was really poor riding.

"It's clear from the video footage that she was very lucky (not to be brought down). She probably wiped out half the field when she stumbled as well so she definitely had to have eliminated some of them."

Meanwhile, Aidan O'Brien once again dominated the prestigious meeting, recording three winners across the two days.

The last of those came in the Breeders' Cup Turf as Benvenuto Cellini scored under Ryan Moore.

It might have caught some off guard that Coolmore's leading jockey chose to partner the Irish Derby winner rather than stablemate Diamond Necklace, who finished third in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, but his judgement proved sound as the Frankel offspring displayed a devastating burst of speed when it counted.

Positioned patiently in mid-division, Benvenuto Cellini – whose mother Newspaperofrecord shone at the Breeders' Cup in 2018 – remained tucked away on the inside with several horses ahead as they approached the home straight.

Co-owner Peter Brant added: "Aidan has been telling me this is a Breeders' Cup horse for quite a long time. The mare (Newspaperofrecord) was a Breeders' Cup winner at a mile in the (Juvenile Fillies Turf) and we've been fortunate to keep breeding from her. I couldn't believe at the sixteenth pole where he had no chance, but all of a sudden there was this big burst of speed and 'boom'."
