Chiefs struggle in Seattle, suffers first loss of the season

SEATTLE, WA. (KSNT) - The Chiefs couldn't find their rhythm on Sunday night.

The Chiefs (5-1) suffer their first loss of the season, losing to the Seattle Seahawks 20-3 on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Kansas City didn't get into the red zone once in the loss.

Patrick Mahomes was 19-for-33 for 185 yards and an interception in the loss.

After a scoreless first quarter, Jason Myers would knock in a 25-yard field goal with 8:22 left in the half to put Seattle up 3-0.

The Seahawks would then score the first touchdown of the game when Sam Darnold found Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a 28-yard score as Seattle led 10-0.

Seattle would get the ball back into the red zone before the half, but Nohl Williams would intercept it and return it to the 44-yard line. Harrison Butker attempted a 58-yard field goal, but it was no good, and Seattle led 10-0 at the half.

Out of the break Myers would knock in a 35-yard field goal for his second of the day before Harrison Butker hit a field goal from 50 yards to make it a 13-3 game entering the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs would get the ball back and set up Butker for a 45-yard field goal, but he missed his second of the night.

Emanuel Wilson would slam the door shut, scoring a 21-yard rushing score with 3:47 left in the game to extend the Seahawks' lead to 20-3.

The Chiefs are back in action on Nov. 1 on the road against Denver.
