Luton Town – Support Confident Of Win At MK Dons
Luton Town – Support Confident Of Win At MK Dons

More of the same please.

There is no denying that the 4-1 victory, away to Wycombe Wanderers, last Saturday was just what we needed.

After losing consecutive EFL League One games, against Stevenage (a) and Bradford City (h), the confidence levels, among the support were dropping and questions were being asked about Jack Wilshere’s tenure as the Hatters manager / head coach, whatever the correct terminology is these days.

But while the win was most welcome, it will all be for nothing if we do not get a result at the Stadium MK against MK Dons, this Saturday.

The MK Dons will, though, be a different kind of challenge.

The Buckinghamshire based club may not have won an EFL League One game this season but the fact they see it as a local derby somewhat levels the playing field.

It will be the first time Luton Town will have visited the Stadium MK, although, from a personal point of view I have been there several times for various events, the last being a monumental gig by the German band Rammstein, a few years ago.

With 6100 tickets snapped up, even though there were calls for a boycott, the Hatters travelling army will generate a wonderful noise, in a stadium that, at one dark time in our history could well have become our home.

But having won, emphatically, last weekend, how does the readership believe this game will end?

According to our regular pre-match poll, confidence is extremely high with 80% predicting a win for the Hatters, with a victory possibly lifting us high enough in the table to be on the verge of occupying one of the four promotion play-off places, although I will state it is still early days as far as the 2026/2027 season goes.

As for the remainder of the votes cast, 11% are of the opinion that the MK Dons will get their first league win of the season, while a mere 9% reckon the honours will be shared with the game ending in a draw.

In their last league game, the MK Dons were thrashed 5-1 by Reading, now I am not sure that Luton Town can match that score, but I reckon we will win by two clear goals.

How do you see this game ending?
