Daniel Cormier shot back at his commentary critics while kicking off the broadcast at the Meta Apex tonight.
Former two-weight world champion Cormier is one of the greatest fighters of all time, and has been a mainstay on the desk for years. However, he is often harshly judged by fans for his performances, and last week Dominick Reyes decided to go after him on multiple occasions.
Some new wrestling footage has proved that 'DC' has still got it 🤼

Cormier is a jovial character, but also one of the sport’s great competitors. And he isn’t taking the mockery from fans and fighters laying down, using his platform on the Paramount microphone to respond with a joke tonight.
Tonight’s UFC Vegas 123 card happens to land on Halloween night, with fans opting to dress up in costumes as they attended the new-look Meta Apex. There were also some frightening stoppages, including Julian Erosa blasting his way into retirement with a huge first round KO.
Daniel Cormier was joined on the commentary desk by Dan Hellie and fellow ex-fighter Laura Sanko, all of whom opted for more traditional outfits. This was brought up when the host joked that “Costumes are everywhere,” but Cormier was “just dressing up as a commentator for us tonight.”

That led to the former heavyweight and light-heavyweight champion deciding to get a shot in at his critics, telling Hellie: “Hey, if you ask certain people, I’m pretending to be a commentator so I am dressed up!”
Hellie then further delved into Reyes and Cormier’s feud, noting that one person who might say such a thing has a ‘name that rhymes with ‘Rominick’.”
