The Seattle Seahawks will host the Kansas City Chiefs at Lumen Field on Sunday Night Football in Week 7. The 5-0 Chiefs represent a stiff challenge for the 3-3 Seahawks. Patrick Mahomes is helping reestablish them as legitimate Super Bowl contenders after one disappointing 2025 campaign.
We've identified three Chiefs playmakers who pose the biggest threat to Mike Macdonald's defense in Week 7.
The list obviously begins with former Seahawks Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III. Deciding against re-signing him hasn't gone over well for John Schneider. Walker is currently leading the league in rushing with 665 yards, and he's scored eight total touchdowns in five games. He'll be fired up to face his former team.
The aging Travis Kelce is still proving to be a worthwhile passing-game weapon. The future Hall of Famer leads the Chiefs in several receiving categories, having recorded 20 receptions for 299 yards and two TDs. Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV could draw the assignment in coverage.
The Chiefs are expected to get WR1 Rashee Rice back from a hamstring injury. He had played the Chiefs' previous four games, registering 13 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown. The Seahawks' secondary will have to respect Rice's abilities.
