NBA legend Reggie Miller was stunned to see New York Knicks superfan Spike Lee talk to LeBron James.
LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers have started the 2026-27 NBA season on a positive note with a stunning 106-100 win at Madison Square Garden.
One of the most talked-about moments from the game was James engaging in a back-and-forth battle with a courtside Knicks fan.
James faced the wrath of Knicks fans the entire game due to snubbing the defending champions in the offseason. But as for James’ clapback at the fan, an unexpected Knicks supporter became the mediator between them.
Spike Lee is considered one of the biggest Knicks fans of all time as the popular filmmaker has supported the team for decades.
During which, Lee has built a reputation of being a vocal fan who supports Knicks supporter no matter what. However, for a change, Lee decided to be the calm voice and tried to diffuse the situation between James and a Knicks fan.
This intervention from Lee had NBA legend Reggie Miller stunned as he shared his reaction during the in-game broadcast.
“Guess who’s playing peacemaker [between LeBron and fan]? Spike Lee. He’s over here playing peacemaker. Wow, I’ve seen everything,” Miller said during the game.
Miller was equally shocked at Lee greeting him before the game, instead of spewing any insults towards the Indiana Pacers icon.
Well, it seems the Knicks winning the NBA Championship after 53 years has turned Lee soft. It will be interesting to see how long this change lasts, as the Knicks have already started the season with a defeat against the 76ers.
