The Tennessee Titans cut defensive lineman Jordan Elliott on Tuesday after reviewing security camera footage of an incident at their practice facility, according to reports.

Elliott, 28, had reportedly gone to his car to retrieve a gun after an altercation during practice last Thursday. The altercation was a scuffle with right tackle JC Latham, and Elliott was ordered to leave the field as a result.

He then took off his pads, left the facility and went to the players' lot, where security cameras captured the scene, per multiple reports from A to Z Sports and KPRC2.

Defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers reportedly talked Elliott down. No one was hurt.

Elliott did not practice Friday due to "personal reasons" and was inactive for Sunday's 26-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Titans (1-5) opted to release Elliott after reviewing the footage.

He had signed a two-year, $8 million deal during the offseason.

"On Thursday, October 15, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott," the team said in a statement. "Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter."

Elliott appeared in the first five games (one start) and contributed 11 tackles across 138 total snaps (24 on special teams).

Cleveland drafted him in the third round in 2020.

Across 102 career games (65 starts) with the Browns (2020-23), San Francisco 49ers (2024-25) and the Titans, Elliott has collected 159 tackles, 14 quarterback hits and five sacks.

Elsewhere, two Buffalo Bills players have been suspended by the NFL for spitting at opponents during Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s suspension was confirmed earlier this week, with the starting safety subsequently apologizing for his behavior, admitting there was “no excuse” and that he was taking “full accountability”.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Sam Franklin had been hit with a one-game suspension for spitting in the same game. Franklin denies the allegation and intends to appeal, according to a person with knowledge of the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity because discussions remain private.
