Ravens add QB Austin Reed to practice squad

With starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley going down during Sunday’s loss to the Bills, the Ravens have brought in another quarterback.

Baltimore announced the team has signed Austin Reed to its practice squad.

Reed, 26, spent time with the Ravens in training camp after playing for the UFL’s Dallas Renegades in the spring.

Reed had previously played under Baltimore offensive coordinator Declan Doyle in 2025 when Doyle served in the same position with Chicago.

Baltimore is expected to start third-string quarterback Joe Fagnano in Thursday night’s game against Jacksonville, as Jackson may be out for the season and Huntley is reportedly dealing with turf toe.

Fagnano made his debut on Sunday, completing 10-of-21 passes for 91 yards with an interception in the loss to the Bills.

To add Reed, the Ravens released fullback Lucas Scott from its practice squad.
