AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has been impressed by the resilience shown by Ruben Amorim's squad this season, with injuries hitting them ahead of Wednesday's meeting with Bologna.
The Rossoneri are still unbeaten after eight Serie A games under the former Manchester United boss, amassing 18 points.
Having been thrashed 3-0 by Bournemouth in the Europa League last Thursday, Milan responded with a 2-0 league win at Udinese on Sunday.
After their wins against Atalanta (3-2) and Udinese (2-0), Milan could win three Serie A matches in a row for the first time in 2026.
Milan last did so between November and December 2025 (against Inter, Lazio and Torino on that occasion).
They have a big week ahead of them, as their midweek clash with Bologna comes three days before the first Derby della Madonnina of the season, against Inter at San Siro.
Adrien Rabiot, Mario Gila and Diego Moreira will all reportedly miss the Bologna game, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek will reportedly miss around a month after sustaining a knee issue.
But Cardinale says Amorim has done an excellent job of managing his undermanned group.
"The team continues to improve and has shown great resilience after the disappointing match in Europe," the managing partner of RedBird Capital told Sky Sport Italia.
"Ruben has managed rotations and substitutions well. All of this puts us in a good condition ahead of Wednesday's home game."

Bologna have eight points on the board after eight games, having won 2-0 at Cagliari last time out with Nicolo Casale and Federico Bernardeschi on the scoresheet.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
AC Milan – Christian Pulisic
Pulisic has been involved in four goals (two goals, two assists) in his last seven Serie A matches, as many goal involvements as in his previous 20 games (three goals, one assist).
Since his Serie A debut for Milan in 2023-24, the American is the only player to have scored 30 or more goals and provided 20 or more assists (55 – 33 goals, 22 assists).
Bologna – Federico Bernardeschi
Bernardeschi, who is the only Bologna player with more than one goal in Serie A this season (two), could score in consecutive league games for only the second time in his career, after November 2016 (with Fiorentina on that occasion).
MATCH PREDICTION: AC MILAN WIN
Milan have lost just one of their last 21 Serie A matches against Bologna (1-2 in February 2025 – W16 D4), winning the most recent three meetings between the sides.
Furthermore, after a 1-0 win in September 2025 and a 3-0 victory this February, the Rossoneri could win three consecutive matches against the Rossoblu to nil for only the second time in their Serie A history, after doing so between May 2016 and May 2017.
Milan have won their first three home Serie A matches this season and now start a campaign with four straight victories on their own turf for just the fifth time in the three-points-for-a-win era (since 1994-95), after 2021-22, 2005-06, 2002-03 and 1995-96.
Raffaele Palladino could become only the third manager to win each of his first three Serie A away games in charge of Bologna, after Jozsef Violak (between September and October 1946) and Gyorgy Sarosi (between November and December 1957).
But it is Milan who are the Opta supercomputer's favourites on home soil, as they bid for three straight wins ahead of Saturday's Derby della Madonnina against Inter.
