Walter Clayton Jr. has found a new home in the NBA.
The Florida basketball legend, who helped lead the Gators to the 2024-25 national championship, has signed with the Dallas Mavericks, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
After being released by Memphis, Clayton agreed to a two-way NBA deal.
Clayton will now play under former UF assistant coach Dusty May, who was named the head coach this past offseason. May, who coached at Florida from 2014-28, most recently led Michigan to a national title before making the leap to the NBA.
The guard began the season with the Utah Jazz, which featured him averaging 6.8 points in 45 games. He was then traded midseason to the Grizzlies, where in 24 games and six starters he averaged 9.7 points and 5.7 assists, but was waived.
