MARKO Ivezi? believes that champions Celtic will provide a big challenge for Hibs at Easter Road this afternoon.
Ivezi? is looking forward to the test and he is enjoying working with Marink Reedijk and adapting to the new manager’s demands of him.
The Serbian defender made his Hibs debut under Reedijk in the 1-0 defeat at Dundee United earlier this month and impressed at Tannadice despite the disappointing result.
He then did likewise against Falkirk last weekend at Easter Road.
Celtic are currently top of the table and were on fire last weekend beating Hearts 7-1 at Parkhead. Despite that, their European performances have left the fans frustrated.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference at HTC on Friday, Ivezi? was asked about his role under the Dutchman.
He said: “It’s, of course, not easy to lose a game, especially when you look at the table, but we have good quality in the team, and we are together as a group, and we have to work and believe in what we are doing and to get out from this situation.
“We are adapting to all the jobs the coach wants us to do, so we are trying the best we can to do what the coach needs from us.
“I think it’s a really good way to play with and without the ball, and I really enjoy it.
“We have to keep working on that and doing it better every week.
“We have to all do the best that we can from ourselves, that everyone does the best that he can, to be honest with each other and to help each other on the pitch and off the pitch to see what we can do better and to do it the next week.
“It (Celtic) will be a big challenge. It’s a big club, but it’s also a good opportunity for us to do something.
“As a kid, when we started to play football, we were dreaming of games like this, so it’s really exciting.”
