Michael Oliver is too quick to brandish the yellow card, Williams shoves him [Saka] so it's a difficult one, but you know what Michael Oliver is like, he wants to stamp his mark.

It's kind of a push away but if I was Neco Williams I'd feel a bit aggrieved there.

Forest action

Nottingham Forest held Arsenal 0-0 here last season but I don't think they have got a clean sheet in them this time.

Forest were actually pretty good in their defeat against Crystal Palace, but just didn't take their chances.

I can't see them causing Arsenal too many problems, however. The Gunners had a good win over Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday and this should be just as comfortable for them.

Sutton's prediction: 0-3

I think in terms of both collective performances, where you might not be brilliant, but you find a way of winning, like against Leeds when they were not the best team for the first half. Also, individually, there are still players like Bruno Guimaraes who are not yet playing at their best for different reasons.

And I think if you're Mikel Arteta, this is OK because it's the start of the season and you're in touch with Man City. You also have the Champions League, but you have a massive game against Bayern, so you are already thinking about all of that.

They will get better. And they are still finding a way, and often it's with their finishers, as Arteta likes to call them, so Bruno Guimaraes might not start, but he comes on and has the kind of impact that we saw against Leeds.

Brighton's football holds up in all games. They play a very clean brand of football throughout the year which not a lot of teams can do.

This is a team that I think can be effective on all surfaces and all type of weather as well. If they have all their players fit, they're a very strong squad.

I said there were goals off the bench.

Vuskovic comes around the back and heads it goalward, goalkeeper does well to keep it out but then it's easy enough in the end for Hinshelwood, he just chests it down and volleys it into the net.

I mentioned before the game about the atmosphere at Elland Road.

There was a period a couple of minutes before half-time when it was really quiet.

Leeds have not given them that much to shout about today but they are well in the game and Manchester United are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

The home fans need to help their team out.

There's no Morgan Gibbs-White because of injury for Nottingham Forest, who make a total of two changes.

Nicolás Domínguez replaces the forward, while Jair Cunha also returns to the starting XI as he replaces Ola Aina.

Nottingham Forest XI: Sels; Jair Cunha, Diomande, Murillo, Muñoz, Domínguez, Schlager, Williams, Ndoye, McAtee, Delap.

Subs: John Victor; Sangaré, Hudson-Odoi, Wood, Kalimuendo, Yates, Netz, Milenković, Aina.

Bruno Guimaraes and Eberechi Eze both start for Arsenal.

The pair were on the bench for the Gunners' last Premier League outing against Leeds but come into the first XI, with Eze making his first Premier League start of the season.

Martín Zubimendi is only fit enough for a place on the bench after suffering an ankle injury against Leeds.

Arsenal XI: Raya, White, Gabriel, Konsa, Calafiori, Rice, Guimaraes, Odegaard, Eze, Saka, Havertz.

Subs: Meslier, Timber, Lewis-Skelly, Mosquera, Zubimendi, Merino, Madueke, Dowman, Gyokeres.

Mikel Arteta makes two changes to the side that beat Leeds in the Premier League.

Bruno Guimaraes continues in midfield after coming off the bench to score in that game and starting against Lille in the Champions League in midweek.

Eberechi Eze starts on the left wing and has a chance to make that position his own after scoring in midweek too.

Noni Madueke has been given a chance on that side by Arteta but with Christos Tzolis still out, Eze can aim to make sure he is the attacker given that left wing role, a position that has not been nailed down in the Arsenal team.

I think Manchester United have managed the occasion really well. I know having played at Leeds, it's such a hostile place. I think Manchester United have done incredibly well, they look a little bit more energetic, look like they're playing together, and I think Tielemans and Mbeumo are doing brilliantly today.

Former Premier League assistant referee

Gabriel Gudmundsson made a very risky challenge on Andrey Santos. His tackle had similarities with Ryan Sessegnon's red card for Fulham on Saturday, with both players making contact with their studs on the back of the calf/Achilles of their opponents.

Gudmundsson could also have easily seen red instead of the yellow card he received. I think what saved him was that there was a little less intensity in his challenge, however he could've had no complaints had a red card been shown.

When you're that inexperienced in your spine, you need someone as experienced or more in front of you who can give you protection.

As accomplished as Adam Wharton is, he's not experienced enough to see where the opposition are picking holes in your team and to just re-adjust yourself and your position to make it more difficult for the opposition to score.

Gary Bennett
Ex-Sunderland defender on BBC Radio Newcastle

Sunderland are all over the place defensively. Unbelievable.

Danso, he hasn’t started the game. He’s been all over the place.

It’s the same ball over the top. Deal with it.

They have not been at the races.

Oh it's all got very tasty this.

Bruno Fernandes goes in heavy on Tarik Muharemovic and play continues but that seemed like a nasty one.

Leeds get up the other end but Anton Stach's ball into the box is deflected.

Once a natural pause in play arrives the referee does reach for his pocket and issues Fernandes with a yellow card. Ironic cheers from the home fans.

Incredible - they're being carved to pieces, in the middle of the park they're being totally out run, the speed, the movement, the quality of the passing.

Super cut back from Kostoulas and it's a deflection that sends it past the right hand of the helpless goalkeeper.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel is pitchside working for one of the international broadcasters this afternoon.

Schmeichel was heavily criticised for his post-match interview with Lisandro Martinez on Tuesday, when he seemed to be trying to deflect attention away from the criticisms the defender was making about the Manchester United hierarchy.

I have been listening to Schmeichel explaining the situation in the press room earlier.

The Dane was not due to speak to Martinez and had no idea what had been said. He was preparing to talk to a different player and Martinez appeared in front of him, and he had no idea what the context to his previous interview had been.

Well, Lisandro Martinez has had a busy week hasn't he?

On Tuesday in Madrid, following Manchester United's defeat by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, the defender called out the club for a lack of investment and had left head coach Michael Carrick with an under-equipped squad.

Eeeeek. It's not often a player calls out the club like that but many United fans said Martinez had expressed exactly what many of them are feeling.

Even so, Martinez met with club officials on Thursday, after which he issued an apology and has reportedly paid a fine.

"Everyone knows that I am a passionate person and that I live football with great intensity," he said.

"The frustration of the defeat led me to express how I felt at a time and place that perhaps were not the right ones, and for that I want to apologise."

Brighton

Fabian Hurzeler makes seven changes to the Brighton side that thrashed Lithuanian team Kauno Zalgiris 4-0 in the Conference League on Thursday.

The only four to remain are goalkeeper Vart Verbruggen, defenders Olivier Boscagli and Lewis Dunk and in-form midfielder Pascal Gross.

Brighton XI: Verbruggen, Boscagli, Vuskovic, Dunk, Kadioglu, Gross, Andres, De Cuyper, Ayari, Gomez, Kostoulas.

Subs: Steele, Hadjam, Svobada, Hinshelwood, Yalcouye, Costinha, O'Riley, Osman, Rutter.

Crystal Palace

Three changes for Crystal Palace from the 11 that began the 3-2 away Europa League loss at Lyon. Honest Ahanor, Daichi Kamada and Anan Khalaili start, with Oscar Mingueza and Ismaila Sarr dropping to the bench, while Axel Disasi is not in the squad.

Striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is among the substitutes having been out with a hamstring injury for almost two months.

Crystal Palace XI: Benitez, Canvot, Ahanor, Richards, Mitchell, Timber, Wharton, Kamada, Khalaili, Pino, Strand Larsen.

Subs: Matthews, Mingueza, Osorio, Lerma, Hughes, McNeil, Sarr, Nketiah, Mateta.
