Recently released Dolphins WR signs with division rival

After falling to the Cincinnati Bengals in a Week 5 matchup at Hard Rock Stadium last week, the Miami Dolphins released wide receiver Ryan Miller. Now, just a week later, he's found a new home in the division.

According to the league's transaction report, Miller signed with the New England Patriots' practice squad, and if he remains with the team through the end of the year, he'll have two chances to take on the Dolphins later in the year.

Miller, 26, played at Furman from 2018-22 and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Tampa Bay waived him in 2025, and he finished that season with the New York Giants before joining the Dolphins in August.

This year, Miller appeared in five games for Miami, catching three passes for 92 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown in garbage time against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2.
