Penn State's men's basketball team is back in action on Thursday night with another home game in the Bryce Jordan Center. The Nittany Lions (1-0) welcome the Chattanooga Moccs (0-1) to Happy Valley for a Thursday evening non-conference matchup as Penn State looks to pick up another win at home to get the season started on the right foot.
Penn State is coming off a blowout win in its season opener. The Nittany Lions blasted Canisius by a score of 97-57 on Monday evening in the Bryce Jordan Center. Roko Prkačin had an impressive collegiate debut in the win with 28 points and 6 rebounds, shooting 12-of-14 from the field and hitting 4 of 5 free throw attempts. Josh Reed added 12 points, and forward Ivan Jurić scored 14 points and pulled 15 rebounds for a double-double.
Chattanooga lost its season opener with an 84-70 loss on the road against No. 11 Louisville. Former Penn State basketball player Dan Earl is in his fifth season as the head coach of the Mocs. The season opener saw 10 players make their Division 1 debuts.
Penn State is looking for a 2-0 start for the fifth consecutive season. The Nittany Lions are 2-0 all-time against Chattanooga, with the only other meetings in the series coming with a home-and-home series in 1995 and 1996.

Penn State did not receive any votes in the preseason coaches poll, which was not surprising to see.
