Ex-WWE wrestler Amber “Nova” Flora has been busted for an early-morning DUI (Driving Under the Influence) arrest in her Florida hometown. Cops claimed the 34-year-old looked dazed and smelled strongly of alcohol during a roadside stop.
Flora, who performs in the ring as Amber Nova and has appeared for WWE NXT, AEW and Impact Wrestling, was taken into custody in Orlando on Friday (October 23) and booked at 5.40am local time, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Newly released police documents lay out what officers say happened in the hours before her arrest. An Orlando officer, Alvin Silverio, pulled Flora over at around 1.48am near South Orange Blossom Trail and McLeod Road, with no crash reported.
In his account, the officer said Flora had bloodshot, glassy eyes, a bloated face and a strong odour of alcohol on her breath. Her speech was described as slow and thick-tongued, and she appeared confused, though she was initially cooperative.
Flora was then taken to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office DUI Testing Center, where officers said she swayed from side to side as she was escorted inside, the New York Post reported. Police reports state she first declined a breath test, but agreed to try after being warned about the legal consequences.
However, officers reportedly say the breath test never produced a valid result. Between 3.06am and 3.31am, police recorded four attempts across two machine cycles - but claim Flora continued talking during the testing windows, meaning the machine couldn’t get a proper reading.
She also asked to speak to her attorney during the process. The test was officially logged as a refusal at 3.31am, and she was arrested on suspicion of DUI and refusing to submit to a DUI test, eWrestlingNews reported.
Flora was reportedly released less than five hours after being booked, at 10.07am, after posting bond. The bond total was listed as 2,000 (1,000 for each count), with bail also reported as £1,500.
She attended a mandatory court hearing on Saturday, 24 October. Her next compliance deadline is scheduled for 2 November 2026, with the case still ongoing.
Flora is a 34-year-old American independent wrestler best known for her “American Muscle Mechanic” gimmick and appearances across big-name promotions including WWE NXT, AEW and Impact Wrestling. Born on November 2, 1991, she was born in Hackettstown, New Jersey, and grew up largely in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, before later relocating to Orlando, Florida.
Before stepping into the ring, Flora studied at the Technical College of the Lowcountry and worked as a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Her “Mechanic” persona is a tribute to her father, who restored classic cars - and she’s made the character her own by weaving car culture into her entrance, including references to a 1973 Chevy Nova and a signature wrench nicknamed “Wrenchy”.
