According to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter, the Kansas City Chiefs are "intrigued" by Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline.
A former first-round pick of the Jaguars in the 2024 NFL Draft, Thomas has seen his role in Jacksonville's offense diminish in recent weeks, and rumors of the Chiefs' interest in him have been swirling as a result.
"[The Jaguars] also could wind up dealing wide receiver Brian Thomas, whom they have received multiple inquiries on in recent years while resisting all overtures," Rapoport and Schefter wrote of Jacksonville. "Thomas played only 19 snaps during Thursday night's victory in Baltimore and did not catch a pass. The Kansas City Chiefs have continued to be intrigued by Thomas."
While it remains to be seen if Kansas City will actually manage to pry Thomas away from the Jaguars, the speculation surrounding the former LSU Tigers star's availability has been among the most important storylines for the Chiefs ahead of the November 10 trade deadline.
