Alexander Isak admits he was forced to be patient for his chance to win the game for Liverpool after they beat 10-man Brentford 2-1 on Saturday.
Isak scored his fifth goal of the campaign as the Reds came back from 1-0 down to secure the points at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Keane Lewis-Potter's header gave the hosts the lead in London before Yehor Yarmoliuk was sent off towards the end of the first half for headbutting Jeremy Jacquet.
Victor Munoz equalised for Andoni Iraola's side after the break before the Sweden striker scored a classy winner after he pounced on Bradley Barcola's knock-down.
It had been a quiet afternoon for Isak up until his goal on 70 minutes and the £125m striker, who is Liverpool's leading marksman this term, says he knew he would have to bide his time against a Bees side who also had Vitaly Janelt sent off in stoppage time.
"Super happy with the win," the No.9 said. "It's a tough ground, it's a tough team to play especially away from home.

"We knew it was going to be a bit of a scrappy game and it's important to come out on top.
"It was about concentration. I didn't have too many chances and was waiting for my moment. I just tried to get control of the ball and finish as quickly as possible. Luckily it went in.
"When they go a man down and they protect their goal a bit more, there's not much space to play. You've got to be ready for when your chance pops up.
"From the bench (after he'd been subbed for Lewis Koumas), we were screaming for the team to keep the ball and just play out the game.
"It's different from the side. Myself, if I saw a great opportunity I probably would have wanted to score. Maybe in those situations we just have to be a bit more safe."
Isak added: "I think there's still lots to improve. We're taking steps and we're grabbing points on the way which is important. It's a tough place to come so three points is really good."
