Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was traded to the Houston Texans last week after spending two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.
Having started the 2026 NFL season with Arizona, the wideout made his Texans debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday. Harrison has wasted no time in making his mark with two pivotal catches in the first three quarters.
His connection with Texans quarterback and former Ohio State teammate CJ Stroud has prompted fans online to take note of their chemistry. Harrison and Stroud played together for two seasons at Ohio State in 2021 and 2022. Another section of the fanbase also wrote that the Cardinals must now be regretting letting go of the wide receiver.
“Arizona really fumbled MHJ. CJ Stroud in a few weeks will have him at 80ypg and plenty of tds. Side note, it’s nice to see an OSU WR finally connect with a competent QB in the NFL. Literally OSU WR’s have the worst QBs in the league otherwise,” wrote a fan on X.
The Houston Texans currently lead the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-21 at the end of the third quarter.
A No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was picked by the Arizona Cardinals against the backdrop of a stellar collegiate career for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
However, a slow start to his 2026 NFL campaign saw the Cardinals trade him to the Houston Texans on Oct. 11. The wide receiver was traded to Houston along with a 2027 sixth-round draft pick, with Arizona receiving a second-round and a seventh-round draft pick in the 2027 draft.
Before Houston’s Sunday encounter against the Jaguars, wide receiver Marvin Harrison started four games for his former franchise, the Arizona Cardinals, recording five receptions for 85 yards along with one touchdown.
