The Serbian midfielder missed games against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest with a groin injury. Florentino earned back-to-back starts in his absence.
O’Neil has been hopeful that he can welcome Lukic back into his lineup to face the Tigers tomorrow, but was unable to confirm whether or not he’ll be ready to go at the MKM Stadium.
“He was on the grass today,” the manager revealed. “He looked good, to be fair, so we'll make a call on Sasa tomorrow.
“He's an important player for us. We've missed him a lot in the last few weeks.
“He's had a little bit of a groin injury that has taken some time. We've been careful with him. We've tried to manage the situation well.
“Let's see tomorrow. I've got a big call to make on that one because I'd love to have him in the starting XI for us, but we need to make the right call.
Asked whether there are any other injury concerns, O’Neil replied: “No, that's it. Just Sasa really.
“The rest are all fit and available. The only decisions are tactical and technical ones rather than fitness ones.”
