Panthers corgi race goes awry after dog escapes, breaks multiple tackles before being caught

The biggest play from the Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos game from Week 9 may not have even come during the contest … and may not have involved an actual player.

Hijinks ensued after a corgi went rogue during the a race at halftime. The corgi decided to break free from the actual race, and then took handlers on a comical route before he was eventually wrangled.

The corgi broke roughly five or six tackles and pulled off a few jukes before he was finally taken down around t he 40-yard line. Presumably, the dog was not hurt on the play.

The actual game was also pretty exciting with both the Panthers and Broncos keeping things close well into the third quarter. Darren Waller and Chuba Hubbard each had big moments and Courtland Sutton scored a touchdown.

It was, however, the corgi who stole the show.

That shouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise. Compared to every other player who took the field Sunday, the corgi — as you might expect — had the most dog in him.
