Celtic return to Europa League action on Thursday night as they travel to Portugal to face Benfica, looking to get their European campaign back on track.

The Glasgow outfit suffered a 3-1 defeat to Ferencvaros at Celtic Park in their League Phase opener last month, extending a difficult spell for Martin O'Neill's side.

That loss came during a run of three consecutive defeats, but Celtic bounced back on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Motherwell. Camilo Duran and Benjamin Nygren were on target as the Glasgow side returned to winning ways.

They now face a difficult test against a Benfica team who began their European campaign with an impressive victory away to AC Milan.

Dodi Lukebakio and Jakub Kaminski scored in a 2-0 win at the San Siro, giving the Portuguese side a perfect start to the League Phase.

Celtic will be hoping to build on their domestic result and pick up a valuable three points in Lisbon.
