NBA Generated $14.5 Billion In Revenue Last Season, Led By Warriors' $895M

The NBA generated approximately $14.5 billion in revenue during the 2025-26 season. The 30 teams brought in a combined $13.7 billion, an average of $456 million each, with the rest kept at the league level.

The Golden State Warriors led all teams with $895 million in revenue. The Memphis Grizzlies ranked last at $339 million. The totals are after revenue sharing, which moved about $400 million to lower-revenue teams.

The NBA's 11-year, $76 billion media deal raised each team's national TV payout from $103 million to $144 million last season. Those payments will rise by approximately seven percent a year on average. Central league revenue made up 41 percent of team revenue.

Seating and luxury suites brought in an estimated $3.64 billion. The Warriors led the league with nearly $5.5 million in ticket revenue per game, and the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks each topped $4 million. The Knicks' playoff run generated $180 million in gross revenue.

Sponsorships totaled $1.9 billion. Golden State's sponsorship revenue was about $190 million and should top $200 million this season with a new jersey patch deal worth more than $50 million a year.

Local media revenue is expected to drop this season after Main Street Sports' bankruptcy affected 13 teams. The Lakers have the NBA's biggest local TV deal, worth about $200 million a year with Spectrum.

The average NBA franchise is now worth $6.64 billion, up 21 percent from last year. If Las Vegas and Seattle both join the league, each existing owner would receive more than $500 million in expansion fees, which are not shared with players. The league has said it will decide on expansion by the end of the calendar year.
