Flint Town United knocked out of Welsh Cup by Caernarfon

Caernarfon Town got the better of Flint Town United 3-0 to lift aloft the trophy for the first time in their history and the Canaries made their way through to the next round courtesy of a 3-1 success at The Essity Stadium.

There was a perfect start for Danny Homes’ hosts as Tunde Owolabi fired them ahead in just the fifth minute.

Harry Charsley soon levelled things up, before Zack Clarke’s effort and a Sion Bradley penalty won it in the second half.

They’re team-mates for Acton Veterans this season but Steve Evans got the better of Eddie Maurice-Jones as Bangor City 1876 ended up 2-0 winners at Denbigh. Evans is right hand man to Huw Griffiths at Bangor for whom Declan McManus and Corrig McGonigle scored against Maurice-Jones’ men.
