Rams sign LB Jon Rhattigan, release two practice squad players

The Los Angeles Rams are making a small roster shake-up, releasing cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean and linebacker Eli Neal from the practice squad and signing linebacker Jon Rhattigan, according to KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson. It's unclear if Rhattigan is going to the active roster or practice squad.

Fourqurean signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 NFL draft. Los Angeles waived him as part of final roster cuts on Aug. 30 and re-signed him to the practice squad the next day.

Neal, a linebacker, has been with the Rams since he signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He made the initial 53-man roster that year and later bounced between waivers, the practice squad and reserve/futures deals. His snaps have come entirely on special teams across 10 career games with no offensive or defensive snaps.

Rhattigan is a seasoned special teams option with 1,260 snaps on special teams since 2021. He signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Army in 2021, then spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders. He signed with the Chicago Bears in May and was released on Aug. 30.

Rhattigan has appeared in 65 games over five seasons without a start, totaling 50 tackles. That includes 17 tackles with Seattle in 2023 and 12 with Carolina in 2024. He played 12 games for the Raiders last year.
